They are designed for use with Troy-Bilt, MTD, Yard-Man, Yard Machines, Huskee and Bolens units. Typically, two shear pins (shear bolts) connect the auger to the auger shaft. They feature specially designed grooves, allowing them to snap if there’s too much torque.
